Eleven GSD alumni have been elevated by the 2018 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to its prestigious College of Fellows. The honor recognizes architects who have “achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level.” A ceremony honoring the new fellows will take place on June 22 at the AIA Conference on Architecture 2018 in New York City.

The Boston Society of Architects celebrated its 2017 Design Award recipients at a gala on January 18, 2018. A number of Harvard University Graduate School of alumni and their firms were recognized, including Henry Cobb AB 47, MArch 49 who received the 2017 BSA Award of Honor.

Rick Corsini MAUD ’85 Firm Wins AIA|Los Angeles Design Award

Rick Corsini MAUD '85

Corsini Stark Architects, the firm of Rick Corsini MAUD ’85, has been recognized with an AIA|Los Angeles Design Citation Award for their work on the Ayzenberg Group’s offices in Pasadena, CA. Their design consists of a dynamic building renovation and addition in connection to three-story and one-story buildings occupied by the office. It constitutes the first phase of the Ayzenberg Group’s urban campus expansion.

Dennis M. Finley MArch ’85

Dennis M. Finley MArch ’85 has been named a project manager at Bowie Gridley Architects. A practicing architect since 1982, Finley joined the firm in 2006 and was named an associate in 2010. He currently works on projects at the University of Virginia. In addition, he is completing a master plan for the Ransom Everglades School in Miami, Florida.

A team from Sasaki Associates—featuring GSD alums Dennis Pieprz MAUD ’85Martin Zogran MAUD ’99, and Ming-Jen Hsueh MLA ’09, MLAUD ’09—was honored with the Pierre L’Enfant International Planning Excellence Award for their work on the Songzhuang Arts and Agriculture City master plan in Beijing, China. The award was presented during the 2014 APA National Planning Conference.
