Gil Prado AMDP '14

Gil R. Prado is the Executive Director of the Boulevard CID (Community Improvement District) in Atlanta, Georgia where he leads the day-to-day management of the organization and the redevelopment of the Fulton Industrial district, which is known as the largest industrial corridor in the Eastern USA.

Gil Prado is an accomplished professional and civic leader with expertise in several interrelated fields including real estate, urban planning, historic preservation, sustainability, design, infrastructure, community and economic development. He has worked as an entrepreneur and held positions in the private, public and non-profit sectors.

Gil draws on his unique multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral experience, local knowledge and national/international perspective to holistically approach and successfully execute challenging, high-profile real estate and urban redevelopment projects that are a win-win for business, community, environment and government. Gil is involved in several community and professional organizations and he routinely is called upon to advise community, business and government leaders on solutions to complex urban issues.

Gil earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation from SCAD (Savannah College of Arts and Design) and is a Harvard University alumnus, having completed the Advanced Management Development Program (AMDP) in Real Estate.

Gil holds the AICP (American Institute of Certified Planner) and the LEED Green Associate credentials. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), American Planning Association (APA) and International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and is a founding member of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board.
